Tandem Mentoring Program

Dear all,

Welcome to the 2nd edition of the CogSci Bachelor Tandem Mentoring.

We developed this programme to give 2nd semesters some more support in the beginning of their studies - on the other hand, it also offers some insights and reflection for the 4th+ semester students being mentors. In mentoring groups of 1-3 you will meet on eye-level and exchange perspectives and ideas. This can rely on spending free time together, talking over lunch or coffee, but could also include participating in workshops together. You can make your Tandem the way you would like it to be and we will try our best to support you with your plans. The most important thing is that you plan and participate on equal terms in this program.

Please *save the date*: There will be an introduction meeting for both Mentors and Mentees on *Wednesday 20th of March at 2pm* (room will be announced), where we will outline the program in more detail and propose ideas and ways to tackle your time spent together. Please find attached a preview of the introductory slides. The meeting will be followed by a socialising event where the tandem groups can get to know each other a little.

If you are interested in participating please sign up through the respective form (please note, this is a programme for Bachelor students):

The application form for Mentors: https://goo.gl/forms/fTZ9QkHaGmm6dt3D2

The application form for Mentees: https://goo.gl/forms/ni9uwhy0GlCUa9Cj1

We will match the teams by hand, according to their personal and academic interests, and to each preference you mentioned in the application. Please add anything you would like to be regarded in the text field at the very end of the application form, and we will try to account for your wishes.

As the amount of spots in each of the groups in the program is determined by the number of participant in the other group, we have to roll with a fairly strict first come first serve agenda.

The Mentoring Team will always be there if you have any questions or concerns about this programme! Please contact us, if you would like to have more information: mentoring@cogsci.uos.de

All the best,

Your Mentoring Team
